New Partnership to Target Multinationals and Large Enterprises

- today announced that the appointment of Firewall Systems as a distributor of Fortinet's award-winning FortiGate™ systems throughout Australia and New Zealand.
Headquartered in Sydney, Firewall Systems has a large branch office in Melbourne and an office in Brisbane. The company relies on an extensive base of reseller partners to cover the geographically dispersed Australian and New Zealand markets, while strategic relationships with key support partners allow it to provide support coverage within two hours across Australia and New Zealand if required.
Firewall Systems also provides managed security services for which Fortinet has high-bandwidth solutions that have achieved industry certifications from ICSA, NSS and Common Criteria. Fortinet's new FortiOS 3.0 operating system, plus the new FortiAnalyzer appliance and upgrades to the FortiManager appliance, make Fortinet's complete security solution a compelling proposition to resellers and end-users.
Firewall Systems' Marketing Director, Nick Verykios, said: "We have a strategic plan for Fortinet's solutions, targeting large enterprises and Government departments via systems integrators, telcos and service providers. Our immediate aim is to sign up five large resellers from these categories, to reinforce two we have already signed, subject to Fortinet certification. Our revenue target for Fortinet's high end security technology is $A4 million in the first year."
Verykios said the two companies came together in response to demand from multinational customers to implement Fortinet technology in Australia as part of global roll-outs. "Some asked us to implement Fortinet solutions, while others asked Fortinet to use Firewall Solutions to implement their solutions," he said. "We were already receiving demand for Fortinet's unified threat management (UTM) products from systems integrators, telcos and service providers. We see the world moving rapidly towards the UTM concept - a solution that gives complete protection."
