Fortinet expands channel with specialist integrator of communications technologies

- today announced the appointment of VoIP Pty Ltd. as Fortinet's Managed Security Services Provider (MSSP) partner in Australia. VoIP will also sell Fortinet solutions directly to customers. VoIP Pty Ltd is a professional services and communications integrator focusing on the next generation of voice, data and Internet technologies. The company maintains more than 100 staff operating from a head office in Sydney, and three other offices in Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth. VoIP's distribution arm, VExpress, will distribute and bundle Fortinet products and solutions with VoIP's Managed Security Solutions Provider (MSSP) packages to small and medium enterprises (SMEs). VExpress recently deployed a Fortinet-centric MSSP solution for a state government health authority.

VoIP has secured an early MSSP contract with a major health sector organisation. The Fortinet solution that was sold incorporates four FortiGate-200A security appliances, two FortiGate-800s, and one FortiAnalyzer™ 800 for the collection and analysis of log and event data from the FortiGate systems.
Fortinet's FortiGate-800 features tri-speed Ethernet ports, network segmentation and granular security for multiple zones. The product also supports high-availability configurations, and is an ideal solution for high performance antivirus and content filtering gateway, or as a complete network protection solution leveraging firewall, VPN, and IDP capabilities.
